Hi, I'm Emi!

Need an AAPI/Vietnamese SAG-eligible TV/film and voice actor based in LA who is obsessed over all things Super Mario and birds? If you answered yes, I'm your person (and I applaud you for your specificity!) Currently, I am seeking representation in voice over and on-camera theatrical/commercial work in both the Bay Area and LA.

My Story

I was born and raised in San Jose, CA. I discovered my deep profound love for acting during high school when I used to watch Newsground and Youtube animation videos. When I attended San Francisco State for my Bachelors, I fell even harder for it after taking acting courses and performing in student films. However, I chose the "safe" route, furthering my education by obtaining my Masters in Social Work at San Jose State. Originally, I intended to become a psychotherapist, but then in 2019, acting kept calling me back, and I knew it was finally my time to answer it.

Over the course of the years, I studied with Bay Area Acting Studio and learned the Meisner Technique. Additionally, I studied voice over and dubbing from studios such as Adventures in Voice Acting, Sound on Studios, Voice One, and Studio Topaz. My work consists of political ads, narration/audiobook, characters in indie video games and animation, and many more. You can hear me as the shy genius character, Moxie from indie animated series, "Bit Wars" as well as my narration in the audiobook, "She is a Haunting" by Trang Than Tran. My natural voice is best described as youthful, springy, energetic, millennial, and bright.

Additionally, I have also been an on-camera actress since 2020, appearing in indie short and feature films, online commercials, and corporate/industrial videos. In 2022, I received the award for 'Best Actress' at 9FilmFest for my role as Nina Tageki from "Far Away."

On my spare time, I enjoy playing video games especially Super Mario, screaming with my birds in the same room, singing loudly in the shower, and practicing headspins. Sometimes, I like to do all four simultaneously.
